26.3 Unit vector

A unit vector is a vector whose magnitude is \(1\).

The vector \(\underline {a}\) has magnitude \(\left |\underline {a}\right |\) then \(\frac {\underline {a}}{\left |\underline {a}\right |}\) is called a unit vector in the direction of \(\underline {a}\).
