Preface

Elements of Functional Analysis introduces the basic and fundamental ideas of functional analysis, an important tool in the investigation of all kinds of problems in pure mathematics, physics and other branches of the physical sciences. The course also helps students learn some abstract structural mathematics, in which they develop analytic techniques.

The prerequisites are Real Analysis or Topology.
